SOURCE: Bissell pro heat 2x multi surface carpet cleaner making spots

maybe there's not enough vacuum or it hasn't been primed enough. I have a proheat that drove me crazy till I started leaving the heat switch on. I get wads of carpet fiber that mat around brush and spit out on the carpet, so I frequently remove them. I'm just wondering if after you empty the water, it may not have built up the suction. Good luck! hope this may be helpful

SOURCE: loss of suction bissell vacume

Under the red flap in the water resevoir, there is a small screen. Pop that screen out and clean it. It is probably blocked with hair. I took my entire machine apart trying to fix this problem and I finally saw that screen. I cleaned it out and my machine works like new now.

SOURCE: Bissell ProHeat Carpet Steam Cleaner stopped spraying.

The problem was a clogged heating unit which is located in the lower handle. There are two clear hoses going up the inside of the left leg of the lower handle that go to the heater and to the in-line water switch all within the lower handle. I unplugged the metal heating unit water lines and electrical connections (label the connections as you take them apart if you have a hard time remembering things...there were seven connection in all be it water and/or electrical). Removed the heat unit out and then removed the 6 screws holding the heater cover. Inside was a white powdery pasty debris (lime deposit ?) and the water path was clearly blocked in four different places. I cleansed the water trough with a little water and soft toothbrush and several toothpicks then reassembled. If you need new washers go to Orchard or ACE hardware. Take the old rubber washers(they are red) with you for comparison. I didn't need new washers...I just gently cleansed them. I immediately ran clear water through the machine and actually cleaned the carpet with a water rinse only. Will go back and finish the carpet the right way tomorrow. I had only used my machine three times before this happend over a three year period. A friend told me to always rinse it two maybe three times with clear water after using it and before storage. This took me exactly 42 minutes to disassembly and reassemble. Cost savings is several hundred dollars since I have a 5 bdrm house and would need a professional cleaner to do the small dirty traffic lanes all around the house.

Why is there no suction or extration of wateron my bissell pro heat pet ?

Your filters may be clogged. The User Guide states that filters are to cleaned after each use. To clean them Turn the Flow Indicator Cap counter-clockwise and remove it. Lift out the rotor and filter. Clean filter and reinstall in reverse order. There is also a Lint Filter on the Hot Water Tank Cap that you should clean as well. When these get clogged they seem to do funny things. Hope I helped.

My carpet cleaner wont stop leaking water after cleaning and i need keep vacumning up excess water

The unit works on suction and can develop a syphon if the filters get clogged. There's 2 filters that you should be cleaning after each use. One filter is located under the Flow Inidicator: Unscrew the Flow Indicator Cap to remove it. Lift out the rotor and the filter is under it. Lift out the filter and clean. Reinstall in reverese order. If that didn't help you may want to call Bissell Consumer Care at 1-800-237-7691 Hope that helps.

My Hoover steam vac spin scrub will not suction up the cleaning solution . Why is there no suction?

p{margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px;} Hello,

Thank you for your recent e-mail. I am sorry to read about the problem that you are having with your cleaner.

Please make sure your recovery tank and lid are installed correctly and forming proper seals. Make sure that your filter is clean of any debris. Clean the screen in the tank lid. Make sure your nozzle and squeegee (if on your model) are free of dirt/lint/hair and attached in their holsters correctly. Make sure you do not have any clogs in the hose.

To restore suction, please try the following:

*Remove dirty water tank and clean filters- main reason for low suction is dirty filter

*Verify the dirty water tank cap is not missing.

*Verify dirty water tank lid is inserted completely into unit.

*When cleaning, the yellow float inside of dirty water tank should be free moving.

• First remove your clean water tank and unplug the machine
• Remove the dirty water tank lid and push the front panel piece (square plastic sliding piece in the front of tank) down to make sure it is inserted all the way.
• When reattaching the lid, hook the tabs on the front of the lid to the tank first, then click shut in the back. Pull up on the lid firmly, it should not lift at all. If it does, try reattaching as a seal needs to be formed for suction.
• Test to see if suction has been regained.

If these suggestions do not solve your issue please call a service center.

Your cleaner has at least a 6 month warranty for manufacturing defects. This warranty begins from the date of purchase, with the original sales receipt. If you do not have the original sales receipt, the warranty may be verified at the warranty repair center by MFG or serial number.

Please visit www.Hoover.com and click on service center locator for a list of authorized dealers in your area for service and warranty assistance.

My hose no longer works no suction buth the vacuume still works how do i fix I checked the hose checked the filters nothing works to get my hose so it has suction.

Check the following after unplugging the power cord from the outlet.
- Check for suction at the back of the unit, after removing the hose where it attaches to the back of the vacuum. If there is NO suction, the machine will need to be taken to a local Service Center for inspection.
If there IS suction at the back of the machine with the hose removed, please check the following:
Unplug the unit from the outlet.
- Check the Pre and Post-Motor filters for debris. Dirty filters can restrict airflow. The pre-motor foam filter is square and located in a pull out tray underneath the dirt cup. The foam filter may be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent. Reinstall the filter when it is completely dry. The post-motor HEPA Media filter is rectangular and located on the side of the machine. Note: The white HEPA Media Post-Motor Filter is not washable.
- Ensure the dirt cup is empty.
- Check the upper tank for build up or clogs.
- Twist the inner cyclone to the left and pull down
- Wipe the inside of the upper tank and separator plate with a
damp cloth moistened with water or mild cleaning detergent.
- Once the inner cyclone is dry, lock back into the machine by
pushing up and turning to the right.
- Put the dirt cup back in
- Check for good suction at the end of the upholstery hose. If there is good suction, make sure the hose is firmly connected to the lower hose on the back of the vacuum. If there is no suction at the end of the hose, check the hose for splits, cracks or clogs.
- Make sure the brush is rotating. If it is not, remove the access plate and examine the brush, and belt for damage. The access panel can be removed by lifting the 4 tabs located at the bottom of your machine. Lift tab 1 then 2-4 tabs to remove the access panel.

CLEARING CLOGS
- Detach the upper hose from the machine. Insert a broomstick into the hose to push any obstruction through to the opposite end.
- Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on the back of the unit, and straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or lay the unit out flat, and roll the unit on its side with the lower house towards the top side. Look through the hose for any obstructions. Push a broom stick through the lower hose to unclog.

No suction on the bissell lift-off revolution

I had the same problem. In the water resevoir, there is a red flap that allows the dirty water to flow back into the water tank. Lift that flap up and there is a small red screen. Pop that screen out with a butter knife and rinse it out. I have dogs in my house and that screen was blocked by dog hair. I cleaned the screen, popped it back in and it works like a new machine. You would think Bissell would address this roblem on their web site but they don't.

Loss of suction bissell vacume

that is normal for the vacume to shut off if the motor overheats you must keep teh dirt cup clean and empty and all the filters clean, when you empty the dirt cup if you have a lot of pet hair take the hose off and make sure that it is clean as well, and do not try to pick up any of those cleaning wipes that will stop it up real quick

Bissell lift off pet-no suction through base (hose is fine)

I had a similar problem with mine. When you take the collector container out, if you reach your hand up, you will fill a round, plastic piece. Gently turn it and the piece pulls out. On the outside of the piece is a foam filter that may be plugged. There is another filter underneath the collection container in a pull-out drawer. Both filters can be washed with cool water, allowed to dry totally, then replaced. I understand that both of these filters need to be washed "frequently". It worked for me, hope it works for you.
