Honda shadow spirit 750 pinch bolt wrench

Is there a special wrench to remove the axle pinch bolts? A socket wrench does not work due to round pleated bolt. I'm concerned allen wrench will strip bolt.

it'll only work on a 6 point (hexagon) bolt:

HOWEVER, it MIGHT be a SPLINE BOLT:

https://images.search.yahoo.com/images/view;_ylt=AwrB8pnxXmVTgw8AZUGJzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTIyNW02ZDVjBHNlYwNzcgRzbGsDaW1nBG9pZAM3MWM2YTkyMmQzOTc3MjQ4OGQ1NTZmYTk3MDgyYTQ2NgRncG9zAzEEaXQDYmluZw--?back=http%3A%2F%2Fimages.search.yahoo.com%2Fsearch%2Fimages%3Fp%3Dspline%2Bbolt%26n%3D60%26ei%3Dutf-8%26y%3DSearch%26fr%3Dyfp-t-286%26fr2%3Dsb-top%26tab%3Dorganic%26ri%3D1&w=200&h=345&imgurl=www.fastenerdimensions.com%2Fsites%2Ffastdim.com%2Ffiles%2Fimages%2Fbolts_spline.jpg&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fastenerdimensions.com%2Fbolts_spline.html&size=10.1KB&name=%3Cb%3ESpline+%3C%2Fb%3EDrive+Bolts-Fastener+Dimensions&p=spline+bolt&oid=71c6a922d39772488d556fa97082a466&fr2=sb-top&fr=yfp-t-286&tt=%3Cb%3ESpline+%3C%2Fb%3EDrive+Bolts-Fastener+Dimensions&b=0&ni=128&no=1&ts=&tab=organic&sigr=11jn450kj&sigb=13qoblj7q&sigi=12av19tn7&sigt=11d6gf5nm&sign=11d6gf5nm&.crumb=MsGNTngZwOb&fr=yfp-t-286&fr2=sb-top

Notice how the "points" are squared off (flattened).

For these, you'll need a "spline bolt socket":

SOURCE: 2003 honda shadow spirit vt750 carbs

It is different then most other carbs. DON"T DRILL ANY BRASS HEADS LOOKING FOR THE AIR FUEL MIXTURE. The air fuel mixture is the only adjustment you can make. It is located on the bottom side of the air intake, right behind the air filter box. It looks like a 1/4" flat metal plug. Do NOT drill this. There is no slot for a screw driver. There is a tool which is no more then a small piece of pipe that fits over this plug and you turn it in till seated, gently. Count the turns. Back out to 2 and a half turns, thats normal. Or if you no that you need more fuel injected, simply turn the screw OUT 1/4 or 1/2 turn and try it. GOOD LUCK (Its not hard)
There is no drilling to be done. Hope i didnt scew something up on mine......

Yes, it is an 18mm plug but you will need to use the Honda Plug Tool which is part of the stock tool kit just below the seat. Use that and you will get all of the plugs out very easily.

How do I replace the Throttle body on a honda 750 shadow motorcycle?

It doesn't really have a "throttle body" per say, but injectors that attach/spray directly into the intake manifold:

http://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts/2013-honda-shadow-spirit-750-vt750c2-inlet-manifold/o/m154763sch791946

It appears that you remove the two bolts (#1), then remove the Injector Cap (#6).
Unplug the electrical connector to the two Injector Assemblies (#7), and remove the injectors.
You'll probably have to twist the injectors to break the seals loose, and maybe continue twisting as you pull them out.
Also, plan on replacing all the O-rings and Cushioning Rings (#'s 8, 9, and 14)

How do you take top clamp off tree to remove forks? i can not see screws.for honda shadow 750 spirit 2003

On the front of the clamps you will see two round chrome circles. These are fancy hole fillers/plugs. If you gently pry them out with a small screw driver you will find the socket cap bolts you seek to remove the upper triple clamp. If you are trying to put in new fork seals it is more easily done by leaving the tubes in the clamps and sliding the lower fork tubes off the bottom of the fork tubes.

Does fuel tank have t be removed to replace plugs on my 2003 Honda Shadow ACE 750 CDC?

If you can get a spark plug socket, and extension bar for a socket set to fit down the spark plug hole ,on top of the cylinder head then no ,if you can get them loose and run out of room try a piece of rubber tubing to fit tightly over the plug to get the rest of the way,if this seems like to much hastle ,then remove the tank as it only takes 5minutes.
