Air flows from the freezer to the cooler. Either the fan in the freezer is not working or the vent is frozen over. This typically is a defrost system problem.

SOURCE: freezer working fine cooler freeze's when turned on any postion

Check the control knobs, make sure they are not turned all the way on high. If not and you have ice building up on the panel below the one with the fan, you will need to go back inside where you replaced the fan and replace your defrost heaters also. It will be bast to replace the defrost thermostat while your in there. It only cost around $15.00 and will save you trouble later. You could see both of these parts behind the panel the fan is in. The heater in you model is a cal rod type, made of the same material that ele stove elements are made of. You can ohm it and if it has no resistance, it's bad. If it does then the defrost thermostat is the one bad.

I have a Frigidaire upright freezer it runs but only blowing hot air. Is there a reset button

Freezers expel warm air. There should be no 'blowing' inside. If it is expelling warm air, then it is working fine, eventually the expelled air should get cooler and cooler.

Mine bottom freezer 10 or so year old unit did the same thing, problem was the thermal switch ("clicks on") on de-ice circuit was broken. Quick "fix" is to defrost the unit by shutting it off, putting frozen food in a cooler. Once the ice melts the path for blowing cold air UP to the frige will be opened. Will work fine for days until the freezer ices up again.

Most likely the "clicks on" or thermal swithch that is bad and will not let the defroster heater work. Easy fix. Everything is BEHIND the pull out frozen food tray. Remove a couple of screws and you will see all the ice. If I remember correctly my clicks on was just to the right of center and took only 5 minutes to replace after defrosting the unit.

Hope this helped,

The freezer is working but the fridge part isn't

this is usually do to a blockage in the air duct from the freezer to the fridge. put food in a cooler with ice and unplug and open all doors for 12 hours. If doesn't work, need a repair man due to fan probably broken

My LG refrigerator (LRTN 19320WW) top freezer door ajar when the bottom cooler door closes. I think there is a connecting air tunnel between the freezer and cooler section that when the cooler is shut,...

The doors have tabs that push on the switches that turn the light off when the doors are closed. These doors have not been installed properly. I fixed the problem by shimming the bottom door up using washer at the lower hinge rod. Or yo can tape a bit of plastic to the tab on your door so that it makes good contact with the light swutch.

Same problem,cool freezer ,hot refrigerator

Try reducing freezer temperature. Unplug and let main control board reset. I need to assume you have the PSS26MGPABB model when I ask you to do this. I can send you the manual and assist you if you want. Let me know, Thanks Sea Breeze

I have the same issue with our refrigerator. I called a service man and he found defrost does not work. There is a heater in freezer that has been broken and lot of ice formed in the compartment. He poured hot water and melted the ice..after 1 hr I started the cooler and it works fine. So I need to replace broken heater tube and he is supposed to charge 200US$ for it. Should I fix or go for new one in dilemna..
