I know this is only part of the solution: - turn off your sansa clip - put the slide button on hold - press the centered button while connecting the sansa clip to your pc the sansa clip will now be visible as a removable disk under 'my computer' :-)

If that fails, then try to download the Sansa Connect Recovery Tool from: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1532 If that still fails, upgrade the firmware from the Sansa website If that fails, uninstall the software from the installation CD and reinstall it from the Sansa website.
