Dear Sir,

Welcome to Fixya Premium Support

To import Contacts or sync your iphone to PC you will need itune software provided by Apple.
When you connect iPhone to your computer, iTunes syncs iPhone with the information and media on your computer, according to how you’ve configured the iPhone sync settings in iTunes.
Contacts, calendars, webpage bookmarks, and photos are synced from applications on your computer.

No music

try this first http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ click on download now (this should be the latest version of itunes). once downloaded on pc / laptop it will ask you if you wish to have your media (audio/video/pictures) converted to itunes say yes it will search for or you can have you want put on itunes..........once this is done connect your ipod to pc/laptop (on left side a window pane is open you should see on top the files on pc , bottom is your ipod) you can sync your music or manually click and drag file to file. i recommend manually...one note when connected always always eject the ipod from pc...never never just pull plug out..................happy listening

By using itunes. If you do not already have it, you can download it from here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
And if you still need more help, you can use this guide to find out more about putting music on your ipod: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPod_Late_2006_Features_Guide.pdf
Just click on the music features chapter and it will tell you how to do it after installing itunes.

Ipod Touch 8gb problems

Hi K,

Ahhh, everything has suddenly become very clear :) All is well and there is nothing wrong with your ipod. Heres what you need to do.
  • First, install the very latest version of iTunes onto your PC or Mac - Download it from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Tip: Uncheck the two boxes and don't enter your email address
  • Once that's installed, start iTunes up and connect your iPod to the computer via a USB2 port (any on a laptop but not through a hub; on a PC tower use only one of the USB ports on the rear of the machine, ie, none of the ports on the front) - It's gonna need charging (That's what the Batt symbol is showing) so leave it for a good 2hrs.
  • While it's charging I'd recommend spending some time familiarizing yourself with the user guide - it explains alot of these symbols and more importantly how to get started with your new iPod. You can download the manual from here: http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipodtouch
  • When it's good and charged then follow the onscreen instructions for the iPod on iTunes. You have to register the iPod first before you can use it. So once you've done this all will be well in the world for you. See page 5 and 6 of the manual.
All the best

Loading itunes

Hi there,
Simple fix:
  • I'm sure you've already done this part but just for safeties sake go to the Apple site and download the very latest iTunes http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
  • Next press and hold the standby button. It will ask slide to turn off, do this.
  • Now press and hold both the Power and Home buttons together for about 10 seconds until the Apple symbol appears.
  • Now connect it to your PC.
  • If iTunes doesn't startup automatically or isn't already open then open it up.
  • Select the touch in the sidebar of iTunes then click on the Summary tab at the top of the main page.
  • Click “Check for Update.” iTunes tells you if there’s a newer version of the iPod touch software available.
  • Click Update to install the latest version of the software. Or click Restore to restore. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process.
For more info refer to pages 97, 104-5 & 111 of the user guide (also available from http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipodtouch) and the knowledge base article here

All the best
