Freezes shortly after start up. error message reads (you must restart your computer) and large message in German. panther 400 mgz
Insert your Mac OS disc, restart your computer while holding down the C key. This will launch your computer on the disc system instead of your hard drive.
From the menu select Disk Utilities.
Repair permissions and repair hard drive in your computer..
Restart... you should be back up and running.
