Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
I HAVE A MITSUBISHI DIAMOND SERIES TV. I REPLACED THE CAPACITORS ON THE BRAIN LAST YEAR BECAUSE I HAD THE "BLINKING GREEN LIGHT OF DEATH." IT WAS WORKING GREAT, BUT NOW WHEN I GO TO TURN IT ON, THE SAME LIGHT BLINKS FOR ABOUT 90 SECONDS THEN IT TURNS ON, OR SOMETIMES I HAVE TO RESET THE TV AND WAIT FOR THE BLINKING LIGHT TO STOP, THEN I CAN TURN IT ON. IT TURNS ON, BUT IT IS A BIT ANNOYING TO HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE LIGHT TO STOP FLASHING. ANY HELP?
Sounds like your TV is overheating. How dirty is the filter on the side? Is the fan on the back turning ok:? Does it look real dirty? Is so, a good cleaning is in order. Also, there is a fan under the lamp. Can you determine if it is working...the air flow may be obstructed (from the clogged filter) and it takes some additional time to cool.
