Unable to print photos in My documents file

Just installed a new color cartridge and went through the usual instructions. My black cartridge indicated it was empty before I installed the color cartridge. Now it shows it is completely full just like the new color cartridge. I have not installed a new black since the old one still printed even though it showed empty. I tried to print a color copy of a photo in my photo file and the message comes up "Insufficient memory to complete the operation" What can I do to correct this?
