Comment about IP address to be the same will not resolve your problem. Some clarification has to be made here.

Scenario # 1

Computer
IP Address - 192.168.1.100
mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1

Xerox WorkCentre M20i
IP Address - 192.168.1.20
mask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1

Note # 1
If you have Added your printer through the LAN, the Port to be created here is TCP/IP port with above mentioned sample IP address. If not, Port DOT or USB will be the alternative port.

Note #2
To verify that your configuration is correct, here are some steps to follow.
1. Click start, then Run, then type CMD (this will take you to Dos Prompt)
2. Frompt Dos Prompt, type Ping 192.168.1.20
3. Watch for 4 sent and 4 replies 4/4 should be the right response on ping.

Scenario # 2

Direct Connect
Use your USB and start Installing your CDs which contains;
a. Drivers
b. ScanSoft

Do not Install any other CDs at this point.

With this settings, you can be sure to get connected to your printer.

Machine Xerox printer Workcentre 3210. Invalid Toner message continues, even though the toner has been removed and reinstalled.

You must use Genuine Xerox supplies from Xerox, especially if you are on a lease and supplies deal. You slip a refilled or 'compatible' replacement toner from 'The Toner Guys', the machine locks you out until reset by a Xerox tech.

https://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Hardware/Invalid-Toner-Cartridge-error-Workcentre-3615/td-p/199538

and although it is a different model, it is the same series

Turns out the WorkCentre 3615 has two types of toners - None Metered 106TO2722 and Metered 106RO2724. Both toner boxes say WorkCentre 3615. You must order the correct one or you will get this error and the machine won't work at all. Who knew? Xerox admitted they sent us the wrong one, so they are offering to fix with a code over the phone.

How do we hook up a second computer to our office xerox workcentre C2424 copier?

The printer will have to be network connected. Connect it to a router with a standard ethernet cord. Plug one end of the cord into the printer and the other into any LAN port on the office router. Have a computer find any network connected printers. If you're a running Windows, this will likely be in Start->Devices and Printers->Add a printer. Let it search and install drivers for your printer and it should be set. Repeat this find process on any other computers you wish to connect.

Is there a Mac workaround driver for the Xerox WorkCentre PE16

Recently I had to configure a 17" Aluminum PowerBook and a Xerox Workcentre PE 16. That multifunction laser monochrome printer is not supported by MacOS X, but I tried all the same.... and no glue for that, until I went on the Samsung webpage and noticed their SCX-4216F printer. This machine is the same as the PE 16.

So I downloaded the lastest drivers from Samsung's download centre (drivers for Tiger too), installed the drivers on the PowerBook (running 10.3.4), connected the printer and when I selected the printer ... tada! It automatically selected the Samsung driver, so I clicked on OK and started printing. Everything was OK!

But it doesn't end here: even the Lexmark X215 MPF has the same chassis as the Xerox and Samsung. Yet, on Lexmark's website there are no Mac OS X drivers, but Samsung's drivers work just the same. I hope this hint will help others...
