By the desciption of your symtom, I think that you may have lost the blue CRT. You may want to call a local repair servicer to have the set diagnosed. It could be as simple as the video driver on the CRT board, or it could the the CRT itself.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.

Tv wont turn on

bad connection. if you have some electronics experience, unplug the tv and carefully open the back , remove the main bord and check for soldering using the magnifier. if you check very good , you will see a sort of small line around the soldering . that small line are bad connection , re-solder them .

Blue tint on rear projection tv

If this is a crts model , then one of the crts had blown, if it is a lamp rear projection, then it is a fault on the video circuit.

Most likely the switch is bad. But it could also be the relay that the switch controls... if your mechanically inclined, get back with me.

Pioneer SD P5071-K has a dark picture, though, a good one.

You didn't mention if this problem suddenly happened or has been getting dimmer over time. If it's the latter, it could be a heavy buildup of dust/soot/smoke (depending if there are smokers in the house or a wood stove, etc) or the picture tubes going bad. If the set is over 9 years old, I'd replace it with a HDTV set and not look back. If the problem occurred suddendly, then a resistor or some other component may have gone out and it again would not likely be a cheap or easy repair.

Yellow screen

I can only offer a guess as to what is causing this problem. The unit's LCD screen is powered by a flat ribbon cable, which can sometimes be seen from the top of the unit as the screen is sliding out. Try observing the cable as the screen is sliding out. If you can see any cracks in the cable, it needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, you will have to send it in to Pioneer to have that done. This issue is a known problem to Pioneer. If it is indeed the flex cable, they should replace it for free with a 5-7 day wait. The screen having a yellowish tint can be a sign that this cable is about to fail. I wouldnt worry about it now if you can still see your screen fine but if the screen goes out or gets worse, I would try to send it in to Pioneer to see if they will replace that cable for you. The URL of the page that explains this issue is http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/top/cat/article/0,,2076_310069579_395713842,00.html Good luck with your unit.
