The dvd tray on my Magnavox MWD 2205 DVD/VCR player will not eject?

You would have to find it through the menu button on the remote control. There is no reset button on the device itself.

is this the begining of a dvd that plays the introduction over and over untill you press play again or select the play option on the intrduction? if not then try a cleaning cd for the laser , also make sure the repeat option has not be enabled when the dvd is played hope this helps! I am going to assume you are talking about a code for a universal remote control.

the disc may be jammed. try using a paper clip straightened a bit and insert into the little hole in the front of the dvd door. that should release the dvd drawer. if the drawer can not be pulled out because of a disc jam, you can try to close the drawer again and gently shake the dvd player side to side, front to back to jostle the disc back into the tray/drawer. then try the eject button again. failing that, you can try to remove the outer case and that ought to give you access to the disc, and allow you to see where it is relative to the tray.

On a unit I checked with this same symptom, removing the top cover allows the unit to stay on and operate normally. There is some sort of sensor at the left middle of the chassis, which, when unblocked by any opaque object, allows the unit to remain on. A temporary fix (not advisable) would be to replace the top cover with a piece of clear plastic or taut saran wrap (no vent holes needed). It's unclear exactly where/what that sensor is from a cursory test. This is a work in progress on someone else's machine that I lack full access to.
