I bought a Ouku 7" screen DVD Navi unit for my 2009 Honda Civic. There are 4 loose wires on the harness labeled as follows:

Orange goes to the switch on the emergency brake. This allows the DVD player to play movies with the brake on ( liability issue...people sued and bankrupted a manufacturer because they watched tv while driving and some people got killed) should be the light green wire at the switch on the ebrake handle.

Blue is used on a vehicle with factory analog steering wheel controls

pink is connected to the back up lights and activates the backup camera feature if you have a back up camera

blue w/white stripe...best guess has to do with infra red remote ...possible allows an ir eye to be installed.

I would suggest go ogling the model number for a wiring diagram or owners manual if you don't have one.

With key on, no power to pink wire on evap vent valve. Have power on pink wire at purge valve. Can not see any broken wires. Can not determine what fuse feeds this power. All fuses check good in boxes....

I am going to assume this is a GM vehicle. That is the correct fuse and that wire is connected to the F3C3 position on the Underhood Bussed Electrical Center (UBEC). I would check the wire at the solenoid (just ahead of the connector) to make sure the problem is not in the connector. If no power, then I would verify power on the pink wire leaving the UBEC, and if so, you have a broken wire/ connection between there and the solenoid.

EVAP Vent Solenoid Control Circuit Malfunction, should just need a Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Canister Vent Solenoid/Valve.
first test and check the wiring and make sure that its 100% the vent solenoid before you replace it, follow the steps below. you will need a volt meter and ohm meter which is available at any auto or hard ware store.
Tips:Evaporative vent solenoid is located on the rear of the frame cross member behind the fuel tank.

1. Test the voltage at the disconnected Powertrain Control Module (PCM) terminal Key On, Engine Off (KOEO).

2. If 0 volts, test voltage at the canister vent solenoid White wire.

3. If 0 volts, test voltage at vent solenoid Pink wire.

4. If 0 volts at the vent solenoid Pink wire, test at the ENG 1 labeled fuse.

5. If the fuse is B+, test at the under hood fuse block C3 32 cavity Red connector terminal F3. Should be B+.

6. If terminal is B+, trace and repair the wire from the under hood fuse block to the vent solenoid.

The Purge Solenoid has a 2 wire connector with a dark green/white wire, and a pink wire.

If you are interested, here is a wiring diagram:

I am installing a stereo in my car and the previous owner cut the wires and the labels are gone. The stereo I am installing has 4 wires other than the speaker wires. They are: +Battery(Yellow), ACC (Red),...

Here you go.
Radio Side -- Car side
12v (Yellow) -- Orange/Black
ACC (Red) -- White/Black
Ground (Black) -- Black or chassis ground(bare Metal)
Pwr Ant (Blue/white) -- Pink
If your not adding and amplifier than your system remote should be used for power antenna which is the pink.
Hopefully this helps

I replaced a clogged drain hose attached to my Aprilaire 600 humidifier. I then discovered no water was being supplied to the humidifier. The problem appeared to be a dangling solenoid wire that I had...

Hi,
No, you need to attach one of the solenoid wires to the red wire and one to the white wire.
So, undo the wire nut with the three wire and hook one of the red or white wirtes to the wire nut with only one wire. Then you sould have a black wire and one of the other red or white wires under each wire nut.
Problem amy be that you now have burned out the transformer that runs your Humidifier. By hooking the red and white wires together you may have shorted that out and killed it.
If you humidifier does not work after hooking it back uo right then you will need to change the transformer.
