Question about Audio Players & Recorders

Have Pioneer M-770 amplifier. The main 6.3A 125V fuse keeps blowing whenever I switch it on. Original problem arose in the midst of playing music. Where should I focus on trying home repairs?

Is this an inline fuse between the battery and amp, the fuse you would plug into the amp, or your radio fuse in the vehicle fuse box?

Hi: I have the same model Pioneer but the I keep blowing the 4 amp fuses. I discovered a short in the front amp module. I would suggest you start looking there.

How do I fix my home audio pioneer amplifier from blowing the 6.3Amp fuse

If it does blows off fuse; as soon as it is switched ON; either its mains rectifier section circuit; or its audio output section circuit will have any kind of short circuit. Contact any service technician. Your set need a though check-up. Never insert a fuse, and check further; till the fault has been rectified. It might make things worse.

There could be a short in one of the wires or within the amplifier itself! Check the speaker wiring first!

Hye. When i switch the on button, the power indicator didnt turn on. Is it because of the tubes or the transformer?

Most likely you blew a bus fuse. Can't say you should open it up and replace it though because there are lethal voltages inside of your amp that could hurt or kill you. You can find replacement bus fuses at radio shack. just make sure you get the same rated fuse. 500mA 125v or something like that in small writing on the metal part of the tiny glass cylinder.

Pioneer power amp m-770 keeps blowing the 6.3 amp fuse what could be wrong?

Suspect an overload in the power supply or audio output stage.
Power supply culprits include transformer, the big capacitors, diodes, bridge rectifier, voltage regulator etc.
Audio culprits are anything on the heat sink(s).
Look for burnt, damaged parts too, anything running very hot!
Follow the circuit from the fuse see where it takes you too start.

Home Amp fuse keeps blowing

This usually happens when there is a problem with the main power supply and is relatively rare. If you can post the make and model, I can give you some things to check if you are somewhat familiar with electronics.

Thanks,
Dan

Pioneer m-770 will not turn on

you probably have a short in the circuit some where. you need to replace the transistor and look at all the solder joints to make sure there not damaged or cracked. i have the same amplifier and i replaced the fuse several times and it blew every time up until the last time when the 4 of the power output transistors blew. what ever you do do not try and power it on till you do all the things i told you or you will have sparks and fire. my mistake cost me my amplifier. but might help you get yours repaired
