Vivid is a set of custom themes available for your iPod
Touch in Cydia App Store. Vivid Themes change the look and feel of your iPod
Touch device with custom backgrounds, menus and icons. Cydia is an alternative
to the Application Store, found on jailbroken iPod touch devices. Download and
install themes Vivid directly to your device from the Cydia app store.

1. Touch the "Cydia" icon on your jailbroken iPod
Touch.

2. Select "Search" icon and type in
"Vivid" in the search bar Cydia. Select "Search".

3. Select "Vivid" to the list of available
applications.

4. Tap the "Install" button.

5. Tap the "Confirm" button to download and
install the application on your device Vivid iPod Touch.

6. Select "Reboot Device" button.
You have to connect it to your computer and do the following 1. Make sure that the computer detects your ipod. 2. Using the itunes program, restore the ipod and wait for the process to finish. After the restoration, you should have your ipod back to normal. If not, contact apple. Hope this was helpful? Please comment for more information and thank you or using FixYa.
If your iPod is jailbroken you are able to remove the password. Here is a video showing you how. And if it isn't jailbroken, here is a video showing you how to jailbreak the lastest iOS firmware. Now what jailbreaking does is allow root access to your device. So in english, it allows you to install unsigned applications (apps that Apple doesn't allow).
Jailbreaking your iPhone to 2.2 is going to mess up your phone. I've got a jailbroken 2.2 iPod Touch and it's ok - a friend of mine also tried to jailbreak his iPhone to 2.2 and lost connections as well.
