Check all the solder terminals at its video output card; Mr: Ron. This card can be located at the neck of the picture tube itself, will directly plugged on to it. Re-solder all the suspected solder terminals there, by applying a little more solder. The fault is technically called 'Single color predominant screen" If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.

THe problem is in the set top box. Or common called the tuner box. IT looses the 5 volts to the main display and thus the monitor will go into a shut down state. THESE boxes are factory repair only and must be sent off to repair.

You have not provided any details about your system. What components are in your system? How they are connected? Etc.
Have you tried resetting the TV? Have you tried switching inputs around?
