Question about RCA D61W20 61" Rear Projection Television
I plugged in the tv to find out if I could see the problem. when I powered up the tv a square box on the power supply board was sparking. it has 200vdc on it on the left hand behind what looks like heat radiator. about 3/4" by 1" and 1/4" thick. It burned one side of the sauder and got loose. having a hard time finding a replacement board. All it has on it is psb 850
For people who have these RCA projection TV's, please have the deflection boards checked. Look on the underside of the board where the gray box thing is and make sure there is plenty of solder there. I looked at mine and it looked like the solder was flaking off. Luckily a hole wasn't burned in but it was starting to turn black due to heat from the loose connection. I put new solder on mine and my TV no longer sparks.
