Question about Sport & Outdoor - Others
Not sure what year model it is but it does have the Kawasaki FD620D-AS24 gas engine. It is new to me and I have not been able to get it started. I was told it was running and went to look at it and the starter solenoid was bad so I fixed that and it will turn over but won't start.
Both spark plugs are firing, the fuel pump is working, looking in the oil fill tube I can see the valves working up and down,it occasionall backfires through the muffler after choking.
After turning over for 10-15 sec with choke I can let it sit for 30-45 sec then it will try to hit immediately when I turn the key but then just whirls over like there is no gas in it. Also drained the carb and it semmed to have good clean fuel in it.
Don't really know what else to check. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, I would start first, make sure ex pipe is open . Then I would check the pick up coil, ohms should be 390-590 on a 300 KLF. Do this test before u start the bike Then start the bike and when it quits running check the pick up coil ohms. If good move on to the coil, If good then I would say good chance CDI is bad I hope this helps

Just had same problem. Take carbs off and clean all jets and bowl. Be carful front and rear carb have different sized jets. When you put quad back together put entire airbox together even the cover. This quad will backfire unless air box is complete. I bet you anything your carb is full of trash.
