Question about Maxtor OneTouch III Mini Edition 120GB External USB 2.0 Portable 120 GB IDE Hard Drive
I have a 160-gm Maxtor external hard drive. I made two backups when I had an XP laptop. Now I have a Vista laptop. I got trojan horse and tried everything to get rid of it, until I finally had to back up my computer (enter the Maxtor) and then restore it to factory condition. It took alot of time to get the updates for Windows and my Norton and I was sure my backup was OK. I loaded it onto my desktop via the restore backup function of VISTA and then went to read a file. No luck. All the files are read-only and I don't have access. So I gave myself FULL access which took some time to do in itself AND still I don't have access to the backup files. HELP.
