I do not have the disc to install for my compaq 1400 inkjet printer

During the installation of my HP LaserJet 3390 I get the same error:
"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive ."

There is a second warning message window saying:
"unInstaller setup failed to initialize. You may not be able to uninstall this product."

And, no, I have no problems with drives or whatsoever, the error message doesn't make sense at all. HP Software is ****, please don't clutter this thread with stupid answers I could think off myself and don't help anyway.

Please run an updated antivirus, and anti-malware software on your PC.. I think theres a virus lurking in your computer, after that try installing the printer driver again.
I hope this may help..

Need more info, sounds like nothing to do with a printer, sounds like you ae trying to install something on your pc and it needs the .exe file placed where it can find it on your computer hard drive that is labeled "DR9".

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

File missing

HI,

1. START> RUN > type CMD > now paste the following reg add
“HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon” /v Shell /t REG_SZ /d Explorer.exe

this procedure is to remove the error that comes whenever you restart windows
something like “could not find SSVICHOSST” or “error loading SSVICHOSST” or “windows cannot find ssvichost”

My OfficeSuite 2009 disk does not work.

Best resolution is to open your 'My Computer' icon and find out what is the name (C: / D: / E:) of your CD/DVD Drive in which you inserted the disk. Then change the command accordingly, replace the D: with the appropriate drive letter. The command should have a "\" after the drive letter (Ex - E:\launch.exe)

Lemme know if this worked for you!
