Question about Acer X193W LCD Monitor
I have an new HP Pavilion Entertainment PC Notebook and just bought a 20" X193W Acer LCD monitor. Went through the set up menu and I think answered the questions correctly but not sure. Only thing on CD that came with monitor was instruction book 1 page in English rest of about 20 pgs in foreign languages.. Just told you how to plug it in--no installation disk. Tried to do the "add hardware" but it didn't show monitors. Don't see Displays or monitors in my control panel... Searched for drivers on Google and found this site. The message I get is "No signal". I know the cable is plugged in properly because if I unplug it, msg comes up on screen stating "cable unplugged) I.. I'm no computer expert but I am thinking it had to do with the first set up or Vista 64-bit maybe??? Help will be greatly appreciated!
This should be easy...go to your desktop...right click on it and choose "personalize" it will open up a window. on the bottom it will say display settings...click on it...at the top right it should say "identify monitors" click on that...if that dosent work.click on the monitor that has a 2 on it and it will ask you if you want to add a monitor...it should work
if not, post a comment and i will check back with you
