Craftsman GT3000 Lawn Tractor

Have a craftaman GT3000,lawn tractor. one of the housings that the blades bolts to has a bearing going bad. My question - If I need to replace one. I might as well do all three. Can I get by with just the bearings, # 110485X, or do I need to get new shafts and housings as well?

I replaced the housings all three and bearings two years ago with no problems. The reason I put on my post is you order what you need and delivered to your door in a couple of days. 80% of what I own is from Sears becouse they have parts for everything they sell. Hope this helps. Better thay my last post. I'm new at this Fixya help web site.

How do you check to see if Drive pulley bearings are bad

take belt off, grab blade at end and watch center bolt move more than a little bit or swing by itself when turned loose. Try turn blade with hand to feel bearing roughest is another way

My craftsman riding mower vibrates so bad when I engage the mower. How do I stop vibration?

Things you need to check, loose blades, blades out off balance, bad belt or loose belt, bearings in the blade mandrels worn.

Even new blades can be out of balance, but my guess would be either the other blade spindle, or the tensioner pulley bearing.

How do you change the blade on a craftsman lawn tractor model 917.28726? I have the tractor on ramps, but can't seem to get the bolt off!

Disconnect the spark plug wire from the engine to prevent accidental starting. Use a wrench or socket to remove the bolt, turn in a counter clock wise rotation for removal. You'll need to hold the blade still while attempting to remove the bolt. Use a breaker bar for more leverage if needed, sometimes these bolts are difficult.

Craftsman 42", 18.5 lawn tractor: blades are hitting in the mower deck. Blades are new and deck is balanced. Is it wear on the Mandrel - Shaft? Mandrel bearing?

Oh boy!!! Welcome to the craftsman worst design of their mower decks CHEAP!!!!! I had to replace my mandrel on the right side, side where the grass shoots out several times!! Cheap aluminum casting ****, one or more of your ears on the mandrel probably snapped, if you have an air wrench they are not too bad to replace, the screws that go into the mandrel are self threading and is easier to work on with air wrench but can be done with socket set, hope this helps!!!! good luck!

Mounting snow blade to lawn tractor

It attaches the the front of the tractor. Similar to a plow to a truck. If you don't have the brackets, you will need those, or make your own. You can see a picture of the brackets if you go to Click on the PartsDirect link at the top, and enter the blade model number.
