Mitsubishi WD-82738 has no picture, makes short whirring sounds but won't turn on. Flashes 6 red lights then 1 yellow light and repeats sequence. Tried system reset but to no avail, light turns green...

After rereading the symptoms you descibe what you describe might be a faulty colorwheel. When the set is first plug up there is a small mechanal motor that has to reach certain speed. if this does not reach that speed the set will not allow the lamp to fire. The whirring sound could be the colorwheel trying to spin up. these break all the time. (its a motor and anything that moves eventally will not.) it a fairly simple rep;air thatn most quilfied techs can repair. Such a repair generally should take more than a hour to do

My fridge is making a loud clicking noise, and there is no cooling in the fridge or freezer

Hi

First verify that the refrigerator is properly plugged in to a functioning power outlet. Reset the circuit breaker as necessary and avoid plugging the refrigerator in to an extension cord. Turn the thermostat to a colder temperature and wait several hours for the cooler temperature to occur. Note that the refrigerator may take up to 24 hours after its first installation to cool completely and may make several noises, including clicking, during this time. Warm exterior temperatures may also result in the motor running more often than usual. Keep the doors shut as much as possible to allow the internal temperature to cool appropriately. Ensure that the doors are shutting completely and that objects such as food or shelving are not preventing a complete door seal.
Contact service technician for assistance if the above steps do not resolve the problem. Other possible issues may include a broken or malfunctioning motor or thermostat.

Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.

2004 focus 80,000 miles/6 weeks ago, using ac with blower on high, blower gradually shut off and car produced bad smell. Drove home with ac off, blower off, had car checked and nothing found. Now it's...

The 'whirring' sound from the blower motor could be a dry bearing or damaged armature (part of blower motor that the brushes ride on), or just wore brushes. The smell could be the motor winding wires burning due to blower motor bogging down and overheating. You can replace blower motor with new or salvaged one.

Background changeover unit failure on 6130dj scanner. Tried cleaning it, rebooting pc & downloading driver . . . what else can I do?

Hi,

When a background switching malfunction occurs, "F" and "4" will display alternately on the function number display panel of the scanner.

Wipe the top and bottom glasses located inside the ADF with the Cleaner F1 and check if the problem persists.

If turning on the scanner again does not recover the situation, then follow the procedures provided below:
1 Does the same symptom occur after turning OFF and ON the scanner? Press power button of the scanner for more than 2 seconds to turn it OFF, and after more than 2 seconds elapse, press the power button to turn the scanner ON.
2 Are the cables between the Control PCA and the BW Motor damaged? Or are the connectors connected correctly?

3 Is the white reference work properly? If not, then replace the BW Motor.Perform background changeover test.
4 Is the OPT Unit installed correctly? Check ADF (Front) and ADF (Back)
5 Replace the Control PCA and see if the error is resolved.
6 Replace the OPT Unit and see if the error is resolved.
Hope the above information is helpful.
Thanks,
ScanCare

The printer is making a gear clicking sound.

I had exactly the same problem with my OfficeJet 6110 as reported above (i.e. the scan head not knowing where the end-stop is). This is how to fix it (this method worked for me) 1) Lift up the scanner/copier hinged lid. Around the edge of the scan glass are 4 Torx screws. Undo all four screws. 2) Carefully prise the control panel faceplate off. The buttons underneath are on a single panel. Slide this to the left and lift off. 3) Jiggle the lid of the scanner to get it off the main body of the printer. 4) Locate the scan engine motor (top right corner) and remove the two motor retaining screws (one on the left of the motor, the other on the right). 5) Lift out the entire mechanism (rod, drive belt, scan head) and turn over. 6) Thoroughly clean all glass and mirrored areas of the scan head. Also clean the scan lamp on the top of the scan head. Clean the tray inside the scanner (where the scan head travels back and forth). Also clean the inside and outside of the scanner glass pane itself. 7) Refit all parts, using the technique described above, in reverse order. 8) Switch on printer. It should now work OK. Hope this helps, guys.

The driver side window on my 1997 pontiac sunfire SE convertible

More than likely it is the window regulator which is usually replaced as a unit with the motor. Not difficult, pull off door panel and plastic liner and see the nuts to remove....about 4. tape glass up to top and pull out regulator...unclip wires. cost $50 to $100. Don't recommmend junkyard because these will be bad. Make sure that you seal plastic liner when reinstalling.
