I have a Rowe AMI 100 CD jukebox. It plays about 3 song and then right upper speaker goes out. Is this a speaker problem or something else?

You have not given enough information to make a proper diagnosis. The first thing to check is if the bottom bass speaker is working when the top speaker goes out. If it is then you can easily check the top speaker by jumpering from the working speaker to the one not working. Odds are it is not the speaker. It could be amp connections as the other guy suggested but then you should not have sound from the bottom speaker either. You can wiggle the connection after the sound goes out and listen for it to come back to check for a cold solder joint.
Other possibilities, if both speakers are out, swap the right and left inputs to the amp. Does the sound switch sides? If so it is a signal line problem in the player or the decoder. I have found the decoders to be loaded with cold solder joints but this is not work for amateurs. Check the door speaker connections. Check that the RCA plugs are firmly attached to the decoder board. Check the connections on the output transformers, are the tight? There are other things as well but this might help

You could have connector problems on the speaker crossover network located inside the amplifier compartment on the opposite wall from the amplifier. Typically the solder joints go bad where the connectors are soldered to the board. Usually a simple resoldering can fix it. There could also be problems with the connectors at that particular speaker itself.

Hello,

With regards to your problem with the Rowe Ami 100 cd jukebox.
Do you have a manual, if not I suggest you buy a printer manual or one on CD and refer to the Programming and Installation section.

In order for the jukebox to know about the cd's that are installed in the jukebox it has to initialize all or the changed cd's that have been replaced within the jukebox.

Put the jukebox into the Service Mode (the service mode should appear on the display)
Type 3 to select the Initialize sub menu
Type 0 and full initialize will appear on the display
Press Popular to start the initialization
Place the jukebox service switch into the normal mode

Initiazation will take around 30 minutes to complete.

What model is your Rowe Ami jukebox, there will be an information label on the back or inside the jukebox with the serial number and the model type. We can suggest a solution once we know your model type.

Make sure all the wiring is secure, you may have a bad coil on the speaker, then you need your amplifier checking by someone competent

Rowe Ami Jukebox buttons do not unleash

Hello Pedro,

You need to unlock the top door of the jukebox so you can operate the catches to get to the keyboard. The open relays R1 & R5 which are normally under a plastic cover, the open contacts on these relays need cleaning. Do not use any form of switch cleaner, just make a paper taper and pull this through the contacts to clean the contact tips.

Hello camillemario,

The problem sounds as if there is a fault on the amplifier.
Pull the 110 volt plug from the power supply that feeds the amplifier.

Rowe Nostalgia jukebox will only play a few of the numbers of the 100 cd;s. Is there anyway to reset it so it will play all numbers?

Hello,

You will need to go into the programming section on the menu.
I suggest that if you do not have a manual that you obtain one from Rowe Ami, Victory Glass or distribution.

Have you initalised all of the CD's on your jukebox? Every time you replace a CD you have to initalise it.

How do I slow the speed of the 45s on my rowe r-92 jukebox .The records are playing a little too fast

Hi,

The turntable motor on the jukebox range of R-84 to R-93 is none adjustable.
If you are in the USA then the motor operates on 60hz but in Europe it would have to be on 50hz to do this a different pulley is used.

The Rowe Ami part numbers are as followes:-

30791907 Turntable Motor Assembly 60hz
30791908 Turntable Motor Assembly 50hz
21817801 Motor Pulley 60hz
21817802 Motor Pulley 50hz

These can be ordered from a Rowe Ami dealer or you could try www.victoryglass.com
