Remember that all DIGITAL machines use the scanner to read an original document, even when they make a copy! If you can get a copy from your machine, the scanner is ok! Its the Path for the scanner data that is faulty or incorrect / incomplete. Check drivers, IPs, etc. This is a communication error not a machine error.

When it say the list can not be used, it means the hard drive/disk thet keeps your addresses have failed. The fast way would be to format the hard drive/disk and re-program your info. This commonly happens when the hard drive/disk is active during a power surge/failure or incorrect shut down. Go to service mode by pressing yellow button then 107 then hold the red/stop button for more than 5 seconds, when the screen changes press the first option on the screen(should be copy or system), now press 5832 (HD format) and enter/execute, when "completed" is displayed switch off and on. Now open your internet browser on PC, take out the web address and input your printer IP and press enter, username-admin, no password, on the left of the screen click on address book, now go to add, input all you info and press ok, now log out on the top right of the screen and test scanner.

SOURCE: Ricoh 1515MF Scanning

Easier said than done...you'll probably need a tech for this one.
First..to scan to folder you require a software called "scanrouter Lite" from Ricoh, which is actually kind of hard to get a hold of these days, since it's nnot supported anymore, and then the configuration is not easy , because it is proprietary...meaning only Ricoh uses it, and it is almost impossible to configure for anyone else that has not used it.
There is however Scan to email, and for this you can open a web browser, and type it's Ip address (if you have it connected via tcp/ip port), enter "admin mode"...user name= "admin", password = "password"...then enter all network settings...IP, DNS, POP,SMTP, etc. then in "address book" enter your destination settings.
This is not a configuration that is easy for a novice either, and it is also not compatible with an email server that uses authentication for outgoing mail.
I may not have helped, b ut I hope I clarified.

SOURCE: Richo 1515 MF Error message: 12320 couldn't find the scanner.

The scanner had been previously configured and did work on another PC that crashed. We used adobe 5.0 to import. (obv this was awhile ago) I remember having this problem then but I don't remember how we fixed it.

It's a MF and the PC can print to it, but I can't get the scanner to communicate.

Any help appreciated.

SOURCE: Device does not recognize delivery server

this device does not support scan router v2 lite.
your best bet would be to set up using SMB scan to folder.
set up is pretty straight forward create a folder on the root of C: ie C:scans
share the folder with full permissions, simple file sharing has to be turned off!!
then go into the device web page using the IP address ie: 192.168.xxx.xxx.
go to configuration and smb create a user name ie: bill then point the device to the computer you created the folder on, ie: bill's pc/c:scans
save the configuration log out of the web utility reboot the device and you should have succesfully created an smb folder share.

if this resolves or answers your query please rate me accordingly
good luck and thanks

Our company has a Ricoh Aficio 20515P scanner/printer. How do you add email addresses to the scanner? We have some in there already but cannot seem to find how to add more. Thanks.

Hi, you can add email addresses one of two ways:

1. Directly from the copier: Press the User Tools button and then go into System Settings. Under the Admin Tools tab, there is a button for Address Book Management (you might have to scroll down to find it). If you go into the Address Book you can select New Program to add a new email address (and add any other information for that address that you want, such as authentication info or a display name). Just make sure to save the address before exiting out.

2. From your computer: You can add email addresses from your computer by opening your web browser and typing in the copier's IP address. The Ricoh Web Image Monitor will appear. It may or may not ask you to log in -- if it does, use whatever username and password you set up. There should be an option for the Address Book on the main page, or you might have to hunt for it, but once you find it you can add new addresses easily.

If you have a lot of email addresses to add, it will probably be a lot easier to do it from your computer than from the copier. Hope that helps!

Printer shows offline/Scanner has no destination list

You must program the email addresses in the machine address book, so that you will have a destination list to scan to email.
You can also try to scan by pressing the Scanner button to access the scanner function and input the email address manually by selecting manual, and then press the Start button to scan the document.

The scanner mode gives me the following message: *Quick dial table cannot be used now

I had this problem, too. The message appears to mean "There are no address book entries, so there's nothing to show you in the quick dial table (for sender or destination as appropriate)." It's probably easiest to configure a Ricoh printer/copier from the Web Image Monitor (WIM).

To fix it, make sure first of all that you have at least one entry in the WIM address book with 'Use name as' set to 'Sender' and at least one with that set to 'Destination' - the entries can be one and the same. If you add protection of 'Sender' or 'Folder' or both, it makes no difference.

I think that the warning message is very poorly worded, however.
