Question about IBM ThinkPad T40 2373 Notebook
Have tried following:
- removed battery and ac and pushed on button for 30 sec+
- removed the memory and dvd and tried without them
- have tried holding down the F8 button while starting up
- have held down Access IBM button
- have turned it off and on many times
- have tried powering up without the battery
IS MY LAPTOP DEAD?????
Hehe...I used to have some problems
and then came up with the solution to install other OS such as linux, lindows or anything else
and then reinstal it with windows booting...and then it works, u can try it

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

If prior to this it works intermittently with the AC adapter, it means the connection from the adapter power unit to the motherboard was lost and this is a typical problem with the Thinkpad. It needs a re-soldering job and not something that one can do without a proper repair manual on how to open the laptop. Try googling your problem and find out if someone has the same experience and managed to resolder by him/herself.
