Question about HP (400745-001) Sound Card
After I switched out my old computer monitor with a Dell monitor to match the tower, my speakers stopped working. I checked the Control Panel over ten times and it looks like my volume is all the way up and they should be working. The speakers are plugged into the right slot, and they are on. Please help? :/
Sometimes, the colors on the jacks should be reversed. Try doing that - reverse which colors the jacks go into on the back of the PC and see if you get sound that way. Turn the volume down, just in case,

as you say that old speaker is working from the same tower means your computer is ok.
the problem is in speaker only.
plz chk that while shifting some wire must have broken or loose or speaker not connected properly.
ultimately chk connection.
