Use the HP Printer Assistant software tools to run a "head-cleaning" cycle -- the problem is not with the ink (there is plenty of it) but with the print-heads (that **** the ink, and then spray it onto the paper). Some of the jets are clogged, and so you get "white-stripes".
The printer has two ink-cartridges: black and tri-color.
The black cartridge has ink left.
The tri-color cartridge has run out of 2 of the 3 colours of ink.
Buy a replacement tri-color cartridge,
and responsibly recycle the "empty" cartridge.
* Re-seat the inks both color and black then try printing * Re-seat the Printhead of the printer then print again * if problem still persist call 1800 421 6699 and the technical rep will replace the printhead
Take out the cartridge first get a couple paper towels fold them put about a teaspoonful of water in the center to get a wet spot then place the cartridge on the paper towels. the ink will soak out, use it to get the cartridge working may take a few tries, but it works. the place in printer and run a cleaning. secret is never let them dry-out and refill before it runs out.
just to check, is what specific lights is blinking is it the check color or just check black inks?? -to make sure w/ this one is it blinking too fast or slow and what is the color?? check if the on and off is also blinking
-check black ink and check color cartridges blinking fast means no printhead installed
-check black ink and check color cartridges blinking slow, no cartridges installed
-check black ink and check color cartridges blinking w/ on and off ready to calibrate (in ready to calibrate if doing nothing, just press cancel and
-press photo and cancel on printer, if not doing anything
-remove printhead( the one that holds the cartridges) turn printer on and off, put printhead back to printer w/ cartridges, and check the lights that is blinking
-press photo and cancel again -if not doing anything, contact manufacturer -goodluck
