Hi,You need to do a maintenance check on your printer. Go to my computer...control panel...click on printers and scanners..Under here you should have an option for maintenance...You will need to do an alignment check and cleaning of nozzles and printer head. Once this has been done, you can print a test page and the alignment should then be corrected.Hope this helps youKind regardsMichelle
Go to Control Panel.
Click on Printers & Faxes.
Right Click on your Printer's icon.
Click Properties on the drop down menu.
Click Maintenance Tab.
Select Print head Alignment.
Carry out the instructions displayed.
A print test page will be printed after the alignment has been done.
Check the printed matter with the sample page.
If not OK again carry out the process till you get a clear printed page.
ok..first you will need to print the nozzle check and see if all the color are printed out fine.. this feature is under the printer properties , under the utility tab.... assuming all your colors nozzle are printed fine..then the next thing for you to do is do the Print Head Alignment.. it's under the same place where you print the nozzle check.. when you press the Print Head Alignment, it will print a page out with many lines.. choose the one with the best alignment.. once u done that..try printing the image again.. oh..if your nozzle check print out is not good.. then you will need to perform head cleaning to clear the clogged head..
I just had the same issue (align page not detected).
We had just re-installed the empty color cartridge back into the printer (long story but basically we knew we could only print B/W).
The align page printout had a lot of empty spaces around the black lines. This is apparently where the color lines are supposed to print.
Without those color lines, the printer would not detect the align page as color is part of the alignment being done.
Since we only wanted black printouts, I pressed 'cancel' to stop the alignment process, and now we just hit the Black copy button and ignore the alignment prompt on the printer window.
The HP site (enter psc750 in product window) has some helpful ideas as to what the problem might also be. It could be the shipping tape is still on the new cartridge (and preventing the black or color from printing on the align sheets) etc.
Uneven vertical lines can be adjusted by
performing the printhead alignment adjustments.
The user is directed through the Lexmark Solution
Center to perform the printhead alignment
adjustments when replacing a printhead cartridge.
The alignment can also be performed from the
control panel by selecting the Maintenance Option,
then Align Cartridges.
Start the cartridge alignment by performing a series of button presses from the front panel of the product.

The button-press sequence must be completed within ten seconds. It might take several tries to complete the sequence within ten seconds.
Press and hold Cancel .
While holding Cancel , press On .
When the Check Paper and Check Print Cartridge lights begin to blink simultaneously, release both buttons.
Press Cancel again.
Press Copies .
Press Paper Type .
Press Color Start Copy .
The alignment page will begin printing.
If the alignment page does not print, repeat the button-press sequence in this step.
When the alignment page has printed, place the page face down on the scanner glass and press Scan .
The alignment is complete when the On light stops blinking.
Reconnect the USB cable.
This can occur if the cartridge alignment is canceled or times out without a valid print cartridge alignment stored in memory.
