Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
All lights come in with the exception of the hard drive. The media card light is also continuously on. Screen was originally gray, then turned black. Cannot get the computer to do anything.
This is most likely the beginning stages of a video failure which is a known problem with DV9000 notebooks that have the NVIDIA GeForce 7600 Go Video Adapter. HP has issued a Limited Warranty Service Enhancement and your computer may qualify for free repair. Check out the following link:
