Sounds like the power outage was caused by a power surge. That could have damaged the switch, hence the reason for the freezing. I would look to getting it replaced.

SOURCE: I want reset the factory

To reset using the CLI, run the command "erase startup-config". When prompted, say yes to reboot and that will restore the procurve switch back to factory settings after it starts up.

SOURCE: I just had a power outage and now my HP 4104gl

I hope that you've gotten this problem resolved by now... but if you haven't, it sounds like you have a blown power supply. You can contact HP at 1-866-my-procurve. Use caution as to how you tell you it died or they won't help you with this problem.
They may be able to ship you replacement power supply or switch.

SOURCE: cannot ping hp procurve 2900 48 port switch

are you accessing this switch from the management VLAN? I believe this switch you will need to assign it in the CLI/Menu.

Is the switch powered up ?

Faulty led of the switch generally glows when the hardware latched to it goes faulty such as fans and power supply. please check for LED in any of these. if you won.t find any LED in red in any of these then try to connect your switch through console port of the switch, if the out is coming as garbage value ie it is not asking for username and password the try to power off the switch ( your live services will go down running through that switch, so plan a MW for that) .

What is the default IP of HP ProCurve 2510-48 ?

There is no IP address when the switch ships from the factory. It is set by the user and/or the network by DHCP. If you do not know what the IP address was set to, then you'll need to return the switch ti it's factory default configuration. There should be information in the manual for the switch about the default config.

Lost enable password for 2510G

attempt to log into the system. While it's asking for the password, press the clear button on the front of the system. This will let you into the switch programming.

Hello, when i connect more users in my switch i lost network connection, but with few users i can get the link

I'd contact HP ProCurve support at 1-866-my-procurve. They will ask for the show tech all report from the system to help diagnose the problem. It sounds like there's a significant problem with this switch to cause this problem. I've dealt with ProCurve switches for going on 9 years and haven't seen this problem.

Hello i have a customer with two J4121a'a one switch has 80 ports the other 48 ports. My customer wants to upgrade to the next generation of hp switches what do you recommend? Thanks Michael.

ProCurve 5406 or 5412 with the appropriate blades.

What is wrong with the switch you have? HP switches have a lifetime warranty. Contact "1-866-my-procurve" and they will either help you resolve the configuration problem or they will send a replacement switch.
