Toshiba model 62MX196 t.v. 62 inch rear projection...turns on then goes black and mute after 5 secs then red led continually blinks. Unplugging and rebooting power button causes a voice to say "fan st

I'M ASSUMING THIS IS A DLP? IF SO "ANY"
I REPEAT IF ANY OF THE FANS ARE SEIZED OR DRAGGING
SLOWER THAN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO
IT WILL SHUT DOWN THE Tv!!!!! EVERYTIME AND THAT GOES FOR ALL OTHER DLP/LCD PROJECTION AS WELL!
BY DESIGN THEY DEPEND ON THOSE FANS, WITHOUT THEM THEY WILL BURN UP THE PARTS THAT THEY ARE ASSIGNED TO COOL. THE 3rd WIRE ON THE FAN PLUG SENDS A PULSE EVERYTIME THE FAN COMPLETES A 360 degree REVOLUTION, TO A CIRCUIT THAT MONITORS IT.

72hm196 toshiba dlp HD 1080. What is the problem of my tv when the yellow led lights is blinking and which parts need to fix it

It should be due to a problem to cooling fan [DLP]. If you wish to get more details about blinking codes, surf the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up previous posts there, either by type in the model name to your set in its search box, or view it in Timeslide / Mosaic option.

Green led indicator light is off on my 62" toshiba

when you turn it off your light blinks because your internal fans are still spinning allowing the inside of the chassis to cool off, hence the reason you dont watch a DLP TV and then unplug it. DLP's are JUNK

Toshiba 52hmx95 dlp tv. took back cover off. the fan cooling the lamp, makes a loud humming noise.read that fan is hard to get.(this is a three wire.only finding two wire.)is there a three wire fan i can...

maxie99,

Fan is available at https://www.encompassparts.com/webwiz/wwiz.asp?wwizmstr=WEB.SEE&partnumber=6475656&smodel=52HM95 for about $80.00. Replacement should be as simple as unplugging the fan cord and removing a couple screws to remove. Do the work with the unit unplugged from the wall. Reverse the procedure to install the new unit.

Thanks for using FixYa and the great rating.

Check fan # 2

Samsung Consumer LCD tv's do not have fans except on the higher end models. The Commercial models do. Yours is a Consumer model. I suspect that you have a DLP tv. In that case replace the Lamp Fan. It is the Larger of the three fans. With the rear cover off, you will see a Blue switch lever on the lower right side of the tv. Hold it in a up position and turn "on" the set with your tv remote. Then look for any fan that is not running. Then order that fan. there is a large fan that cools the Lamp. The other fans are of the same smaller size and one cools the DND chip and the other cools the Ballast.

Toshiba 52HMX95 DLP has weird gray think line

DLP TVs work projecting light throught a tube covered with mirrors, called the light tunnel.

The gray shadow it is something in the middle of the light tunnel, probably a mirror that has gone out of place when you moved the TV.

Toshiba DLP fan noise (52hmx95)

i constantly hear complaints about fan noise in dlptvs if you sit in front of your computer you will hear the same noise even in the next room there is no solution to the fan noise problem this product has a huge cage fan and a second and third three inch fans in it.... more than the samsung product it can be noticeable if the tv is on hard surfaces ie wood floors ,inthe corner, glass top etc the vents on the back of the tv allow for proper cooling of the lamp at shutoff so it doesnt shatter the tube its kinda like annealing glass its designed to extend the life of the lamp .... which im sure youve priced call toshiba and tell them your lamp is bad right now and get a new one for an emergency ( warranty if you can do it ) they are also improved this product is known to have short bulb life sometimes the zinging noise you hear is indicative of a bad color wheel in the light engine which would require replacement ( not cheap) toshiba will not piece out the color wheel assembly individually
