I can't get my speakers to work

I am on an HP desktop. My flat screen has speakers, I have plug in speakers - they won't let out a peep... If I hold the free speaker to my ear, I hear a whisper of a sound... but that's it, a whisper.

ERROR MESSAGE: windows can not execute SndVol32.exe

-My USB headset works
-The speakers are not muted
-They are properly installed

What could be wrong

THANK YOU FOR THE POST - I went to freedownloads.com and ran a search for sndvol32.exe. It gave me a free download for minimixer which repaired the issue. Thank you.

Uninstall your sound card and re install it and it should recover to factory default, if that doesn.t help then you could have it plugged into the wrong jack on the computer, usually the green end goes to the matching color jack on the computer.

Click control panel and when the wizard displays, scroll down for a sound settings. Set up and click sound folder and audio folder. Try every possibilities e.g. set audio to Intel (r) .... then click advance to set up volumes either you are using a desktop speaker or a speaker connected to USB port.

External speakers won't work on HP T5570e Thin Client

Try to use earphones, plug them in to phone audio connector....
try if it works..... if so, disconnect them and plug speakers.... and try again.... if doesn't work, go to audio advanced setup and check if speakers are not muted, or set up voicevolume level is too low. Play with that setup....

Also some computers can turn on or off speakers in Bios.

If problem will not be solved, try to use USB speakers

Is my AOC 9170 monitor compatible with HP Pavillion 6523W Windows 7? Does this monitor have built in speakers?

Hi there,

I am not sure about the speakers. The best way to tell if it has speakers is if you can physically see them. They are usually located at the bottom of the monitor and they look like little screens on either side of it. If it doesn't have HDMI or a line in jack (speaker plug) that you can see then it won't have built in speakers for sure.

If the monitor has the right connections to plug into your HP computer, which it should. Then it will work with your computer. Your computer has both VGA and DVI monitor connections on it so either of these should work as long as your monitor has the connections (which it should have at least one).

After an update for my PS3 my screen went black and my console won't come on. The green light comes on but there is no picture on the screen.

switch power back off, teun it on, hold power touch on the front down--> PS3 will turn on, keep holding until it turns off. when it turns off, take of your finger. hold down your finger again on the power touch, green light will blink, keep holding, you will hear one peep, then two peeps (when you hear the two peeps take off you finger); a menu will show up, chose restore factory default setting then ok, PS3 will restart, hopefully that will fix it

If you had got any new hardware perhaps Speakers? try and make sure the speakers are not very close to the screen.Because the electromagnetic waves affect the monitor.

If not then adjust the screen resolution.Hope your problem will be solved

Thanks.

Speakers don't Work on HP Pavilion f1903 desktop

Just match the color of the male and female on each end. Plug the audio cable (mini stereo phone plugs) to the PC audio line out (green miniphone jack) to the Powered speaker mini stereo phone audio line input jack (green color jack). You will have to set the volume controls of the speaker control knob and at the PC on screen volume control panel.
