Question about Weber Genesis E-310 Gas Grill

1 Answer

Weber won't get very hot

We assembled our new Weber Genesis E-310 yesterday. Went together nicely, but won't heat above 350 or so. It should get to 500-550 degrees withing 10-15 mins. Any ideas of what could be wrong? Thanks.

Safety valve needs reset.

  • Close the LP tank valve
  • Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position
  • Open the grill lid
  • Turn the LP tank valve until it is completely open
  • Wait several seconds
  • Turn the front burner to the HI/Start position
  • Press the igniter until the burner is lit.
  • Turn remaining burners to High
  • Close the lid.
  • The grill should preheat to 500-550 degrees in 10-15 minutes
I called Weber and the rep walked me through the reset. All grills made after 1996 have this bypass valve.

Hey Anon..
WOA...compressed propane is not something to mess around with..I would go back to the Home Depot and talk to the store manager,,(take your receipt and all other paper work for proof), ask him who to see about your issue.. tell him you are afraid to use your NEW grill.(Start at the top!).. you spent good $$$$ and you deserve an answer..or a new grill..

Assembly manual weber 310

i am having trouble lining the body of Weber Genesis 310 to the holes on cart sides. they seem to be off 3/8" towards front of grill. Could their spec be off or assembled incorrectly. I have gone over instructions several times & can't see where I went wrong.

Just had the Genesis E 310 installed yesterday. With the three burners turned on for 15 minutes, it only got up to 350 this morning. How do I go about problem solving this?

I'm guessing if you just had it installed that it is brand new. You should call the installer or were you purchased the item, they should correct your problem at no charge.

Grill not getting hot, fire not around burners, knobs are so hot you can't touch them. not getting over 300 degrees, fire seems to be behind knobs
