No remote control operation of TV

The remote control itself works fine! I used it on another TV. Changing batteries did not fix problem. The problem is in the TV set not the remote control. The TV set works fine from the front panel controls.

What can I do?

My Sylvania LC320SL1 TV is changing channels all by itself, like it is stuck in auto memory, and I do not have a remote for the TV any suggestions? Tks

Hi, its probably searching for channels. You need to get your original remote for your TV. You can purchase it here:

Using the original remote you can fix this.

My tv model #27F500T is changing stations all by it self

Hi,

the stations are changing by itself on your TV because the channel button on the TV is partially stuck in, that is why it keeps changing all by itself. This same thing may also happen to the remote control of the TV if the channel button of the remote stuck in and pointed at the TV.

Use your finger to rub the buttons on the TV, especially the volume control button. Do same on the remote and most definitely problem should be solved.

Please give me a feedback if solution does not work for you.

Yours sincerely.

Tv won't stop changing channels

You need to isolate the problem.
1) Unplug the set for a few seconds then plug it in.
2) Operate the TV with the control/buttons on the TV. (Channels etc)
If the TV operates correctly then do the following.
3) Try operating with the remote unit. If the problem returns then it's the remote failing.

Sometime remotes can be reset.
Try this;
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.
Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!
Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.
(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)
Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.

Try it again. If the problem is still there then the remote is bad.
Since this is a new TV you should use your warranty to replace any bad parts.

Sony KV-27FS100L -

This is due to switches malfuction due to corrosion in switch and dust accumulated in the switch. Since you rarely used switch now after failure of remote of remote control you tried to operate the switch. Another thing you said did"t get picture, maybe memory problem is there. This can be sorted out by the technician only.
