2003 50 HP Johnson Water Pump problem at high speed

I've never had any water pump problems before having the water pump replaced last week. First time in the water the water pumps good at idel and slow speed, but after running a few minutes at medium to high speed the pressure drops and eventually stops all together. It also appears to be discharging a lot more water around the lower unit when running the motor with water hose connected using earmuffs.
The motor is used in salt water, but flushed after each use. It has been several months since I've used it though.

Any suggesions other than take it back to the Marina that serviced it.

Our goulds pumps j5s is running very loud after we replaced our sewage ejection pump last week. Could these problems be connected?

Those pumps last a long time. I do not think the problems are connected. I am assuming you are pumping water up from the pump. The pump has a check valve in the discharge that may not be closing. Cleaning that should solve your problem. Be sure water will pass through the discharge line into the drain.

My 88hp Johnson won't tilt up when moving in water unless I am going slow therefore I can't get topend speed what would cause this?

outboard motors some times are designed to not run at speed while tilted as the water pump inlet is above the water line and the engine will over heat and the pump impellor will be destroyed.. With an engine tilted the load from the propeller tends to lift the nose of the boat high and makes it unstable on the water . The best situation is to have the propeller tend to drive the nose down thereby promoting a planeing action that improves economy and speed Once the boat is on the plane you can cut back on the throttle and still maintain the same speed . Moving with the leg tilted should only be used to navigate shallow water at very slow speeds

Aqua Flo Flo Master won't start on low speed

Water flow error on hot tub means low water flow. This is not enough water flow to turn the system on.
Some motors do have a start capacitor on them. you can certainly check that or take it to your local motor repair shop and they can check that for you.

I have a utilitech convertable pump. It is used as a shallow well pump at the moment. It worked fine untill last week, the hot water tank went bad and we replaced the tank and all the above ground lines....

Hi mid_age_elf
Your problem is that your "water bound"...
Your water tank must have a cushion of air for the pressure switch to work properly.
Turn off your pump and drain about 1/3 of the water from your tank.
Once you have an "air cushion" the pump and switch will work properly.
You can also add air pressure using an air compressor and an air valve installed on the top of your water tank or maybe on the side or bottom of the tank.
You would put air into the tank until about 1/3 of the water is gone replaced with the air.
Once that is complete your problem will be solved.

Just had my Hayward Tristar 2-spd pump/motor replaced a month ago. I've been running it on high speed for about 3 weeks because my control pad went out and I couldn't get it to run on low speed. ...

running the pump on high speed will not have caused the problem, they are meant to run 3,450 rpm's continually. It's more than likely a supply power problem like you mentioned. Check GFI's, and breakers to see if anything has tripped.

High speed heating problem. Have changed water

Do you know the gauge is reliable thats telling you its too hot? 3 things to check: lean fuel mix, timing advanced too far, oil mixture too light. With the alcohol in todays fuel I would add more oil. In 1977 they had better fuel. Alcohol is a solvent, not a lubricant. The tubing may help minimally but the head passages are fixed. Good luck
