Kenmore Washer 2600 makes a screeching noise after it fills with water and the wash cycle begins.

It is probably a belt. Usually this noise starts with the spin cycle. Try spraying some belt dressing on it. You could replace the belt, but be;t replacement is usually a royal pain in the rear.

Frigidaire dishwasher is not spraying water from bottom

From what you have described, sounds like the sprayer arms are possibly loose or being held into place and can't rotate, by dishware.

My mother-in-law called and her dishwasher is making a loud noise when the motor runs. sounds like a bad bearing somewhere? the noise stops when it drains (motor not running?). does that sound like the...

There is only one motor -- it runs a water pump for recirculating the water when it's washing and runs a water pump when it's draining.

It sounds like the spray arm is making the noise -- this is the part thru which the motor / pump forces the water during the wash cycle -- the pumped water causes the arm to rotate -- a warn or loose spray arm or mount is likely the problem.

Or, it could be just some utensil stuck in the bottom of the dishwasher which the spray arm is rubbing.

More info, let me know.

Same noise

Just change the compressor it is easier than changing the clutch if you do dont forget to change the reciever dryer and the orfice tube and have a evacuation done on it.

My kitchenaid dishwasher is making a loud humming noise and has stopped cleaning the dishes, why?

if the water is not spraying you may have a seized up motor. if the water is spraying then you have something down in your motor somewhere..

Dishwasher not spraying

It could be a motor or a pump issue. The dishwasher has a motor that attached to a pump which forces the water up into the sprayer arms and during the drain cycle, it pushes the water out of the dishwasher. The motor (and pump) located beneath the dishwasher. Good luck!
