Was the camera on when it decided to go for a swim? If yes, it's probably time for a new camera. If no, then after weeks of allowing it to dry internally you should be okay.
Having turned it on before it was thoroughly dried out, it's very possible that the moisture shorted out circuitry....time for a new camera.

If its the same problem i got:
Remove the batttery for at least 20 mins to drain all power from camera.
Turn it back on.

Has the memory card ever worked in this camera? If yes, try downloading all the pictures to your computer then format the memory card using the camera setip menu. If this is a new camera, Make sure the camera can use the SD HC type memory cards. Some older cameras cannot read the SDHC but are fine with the SD cards.
