Error Message when trying to update SetPoint 4.00.121

I've recently updated to SetPoint 4.00.121 on Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit and when I reboot my computer or go into the Setpoint software to check for updates an error message appears saying:
C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPoint\LULnchr.exe

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set Associations control panel.
I have uninstalled this version of SetPoint and re-installed the previous version but it too is saying exactly the same thing now!

I have not made any software or hardware changes and SetPoint 4.00.121 works really well and perfectly except for this annoying problem. I hope you can help! a solution would be greatly appreciated !!!!!!

Delete and re-install all of the software fresh. Any corruption can cause the software or it's device driver to behave badly while still operating. Selective file replacement is painstaking and does not cover the ground (while it may hit the mark it may miss as well.) If you have the original version (within reason) use that. If it works reliably then don't update it unless there is some an update that solves a problem you are concerned with. Updating for the sake of updating is a double edged sword. You fix problems you don't have.

I have recently bought a new computer and i installed the software, but the machine will not recognise the computer, can it be installed on computer with the new windows 7 or do i need an update??

Yes, it can be installed on Windows 7. Check the Futura support sight at and look on the right hand side under downloads. There's a download listed for CE150/250/350, etc, that applies to XP 32 & 64 bit, Vista and Windows 7 32 & 64 bit. Follow the directions CAREFULLY! If this doesn't work for you, I've posted a set of instructions under CE100 solutions for running the CE100 software on Windows Vista/7 by installing a Virtual Machine software on Windows 7 that works regardless of the situation.

The update should work for you perfectly, however. Just make sure you uninstall the Futura software and reboot your machine BEFORE you do anything else and follow the instructions from the website carefully! Good luck!

Can't install CD for wireless keyboard. Need

Usually when I install drivers for hardware I never use the CD that ships with the product. By the time the product has shipped, CD's that contain software for the product are usually outdated since hardware manufacturers are constantly updating software around the time of release and for awhile afterwords. Because of this, I like to go straight to the manufacturer website and download the absolute latest software/drivers for the hardware in question.

Here's a link below to both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the Windows Vista software for SetPoint. Depending on what version of Windows Vista you're running [32 or 64], choose the appropriate one and try installing that. If that doesn't work, visit Logitech's Support Website, choose your product, and download the appropriate drivers.

You may need to check to see which "service pack" you are currently on.

See below requirements:

System Software — Windows XP & Vista
  • Windows Vista Business or Ultimate Edition
    • 32-bit OS Installation Only
  • Windows XP Professional or Home Edition
    • With Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3

  • Not Supported:
    • Windows Vista 64-bit (any version)
    • Windows XP Professional x64 Edition
    • Windows XP Media Center Edition
    • Windows 98, Me, 2000, NT, 95, 3.1, DOS

  • Not Tested:
    • Windows Vista Home and Home Premium Edition
    • Although Windows Vista Home and Home Premium Edition have not been tested or qualified by Digidesign, there are currently no known issues with Vista Home and Home Premium 32-bit operating systems and Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4 compared to the supported Windows Vista Business or Ultimate Edition operating systems.

Windows Vista SP1
There are currently no known issues with Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista based on our initial limited testing and customer feedback. Although full qualification with all Digidesign products has not been completed, we do not recommend against updating to SP1, given the number of important overall system fixes in SP1. We do recommend that you backup your system and create a restore point before updating to SP1, should you encounter any problems after installing the update.

Unable to check for updates with Windows Vista Home Premiun, SP1, 32 bits, error code 80244019 for Windiws Update and 0x80244019 for Windows Defender, last update instaled Jan/01/09

I've been having the same error when I try to run Windows update on a Vista Ultimate machine setup for use with our SBS 2003 server running ISA 2004.

The Solution that I found is this.

When you setup Vista for use with a domain it creates the following regkey with a subkey etc ( policy ) that sets Vista to look for a WSUS server.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

When I deleted this key and rebooted my PC windows update was working.

Hope this was somehow usefull

Good luck

ATI Radeon X1300 wont work with my Vista 32 bit

Try this.

Download the unified Radeon drivers from ATI's website... do not use Windows update. Get the Drivers Only package. for Vista 32-bit

If you can get to the desktop:
Uninstall the existing display drivers by using the remove hardware utility. Whatever they are... remove them. Reboot. Windows will try to reinstall the drivers on the next boot. If it allows you cancel the installation at any time during install do it. Run the downloaded package from ATI. Reboot.

If you can't get to the desktop:
Press F8 when booting and enter safe mode with networking. Download the ATI drivers from for Vista 32-bit.
Uninstall the display drivers. Reboot. Should take you to the desktop on the next boot so you can run the install program.
