Question about Samsung SGH-D820 Cellular Phone
I'm not certain what your question is you made a statement more or less.
I do know that alot of cell phones will show that they are fully charged after minutes of charging, but then very quickly go back down to almost dead within an hour. This is because the phone is not actually fully charged. Most batterys need at least an hour minimum to be fully charged after its drained completely.
Post back if you need any further assistance. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

You battery is probably going bad. Get a new one and charge it for at least 6 hours, let it drain down all the way, and then charge fully again. This will teach the battery meter and the battery. It helps the life of it.
Check out the following link to ebay for lowest price on the batteries.

SOURCE: My phone is 3 yrs
It sounds like your battery is faulty. 3 years of use is enough to wear a battery out. Try replacing the battery and see if the problem clears up. If it doesn't your phone may have an internal faulty, but I am going with the battery.
