Re: hoover aquamaster

Sounds like you need to attach the air hose

with reservoir in place you clip on the lid with tubes attached, one of them goes down to the floor cleaning nozzle, the other tube should be about 20cm long with an end piece,

this is the air hose and it fits into a small hole under the reservoir on the motor housing (the heavy mains powered part that clips onto the big recovery drum that sits on floor)

it's mentioned briefly in the manual, here it is in pdf form

Re: hoover aquamaster

If you just bought this, then you have a 1 year warranty on it and I would take it in to a warranty repair shop, take proof of purchse with you.

Hoover shampooer not sucking up dirty water, only small amount in container and used 3/4 of shampoo

You did not say which model this is, but if it is the F5800 or F5900 series, the most common reason for lack of pick up is that the lid is not fully seated on the dirty water tank. Be sure to hook the two tabs on the front of the lid, and then snap the rear latch into place. Another reason is that the duct on the front of the dirty water tank is missing. The duct may have been removed to install the hose, and was not put back in place. It is a square plastic piece, about the size of a slice of sandwich bread, which slides into the front of the tank. A far less common reason for no pick-up is that the seal that the tank sits on has fallen off the motor cover suction tube. You will see a round tube on the bottom of the dirty water tank. This sits on top of a large rubber seal on the motor cover when the tank is in place. Be sure the seal has not fallen down into the hood.

You didn't give a model number so I'll tell you both methods. The F5xxx and F6xxx models have a cap at the top of the clean water tank that doubles as a measuring cup. The cap is about 3 inches in diameter. Fill the cap to the fill line with shampoo and dump it in the tank. Then fill the tank with hot (Not Boiling) water.
The F7xxx series has a 2 section tank. The large section is for hot (Not Boiling) water. The smaller section is for shampoo. Fill the smaller section with shampoo and the Steam Vac will mix the water and shampoo for you in the proper proportion.

Please assist. i have not use my cleaner in awhile not sure if the clean water goes in the top or bottom.

The clean water goes in the upper tank mixed with shampoo, and after the water is extracted from the carpet, it will go into the lower tank. Clean water top tank, dirty water lower tank.

Hope this helped you!

Cleaner not sucking up dirty water.

try stripping it down and cleaning all parts and filters .some cleaners use a safety 'ball' to stop water getting on the motor is this stuck it should slide up and down a small track in a tube..good luck hope this helps farr64.

Instructions or manuel was not included.

i downloaded the manual for your machine, but not sure how to access it for you,but i do know about the problem, the tank that sits down on the front of the steamer and it has 2 clips that you push in to lock the tank is where your dirty water is put in when you are cleaning your carpets. the tank above ,the one where you put your solution and water in is what is used to shampoo your carpet. on the handle is a trigger (black) button ,this is the button you push in to release your solution onto your carpet. release the button to extract the water from your carpet, moving your steamer in a back and forth motion. the trigger button is the only button on the machine and is only used to put the water /cleaner located in the upper tank on your carpet, releasing this button and moving your steamer back and forth over the shampooed part with extract your dirty water into the tank that sits below the solution tank. go on and click on carpet cleaners ,scroll down to find yours and click on manual. and the owner manual will download and you can print it out for future reference, i hope this will solve your problem, sandy

My cleaner is not dispensing the shampoo solution. Still sucks up the dirty water that I manually applied with a scrub brush. I use this on my tiled screen porch floor and it has worked great many times.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover SteamVac Carpet / Upholstery Deep Carpet Cleaner.

There is a release value in the bottom the holding tank that may be bad and not opening or the trigger assm in the handle may be broken and not connecting to release the water to scrub and clean the carpets. You should really check with your local factory authorized Hoover vac dealer in your area or , please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
