When ready to take a picture in AUTO mode, press FUNC SET button. A row of options will appear on the left and bottom of the screen. The self-timers are on the bottom. Move along the bottom using the outside circle around the function button until the timer you want is displayed. Press FUNC SET to select it. Press the normal button for exposure and it will count down before taking the pic.

You want me to go look for it!
If you have the Cd a manual should be there in PDF format.

    Ahj Ha - it is all clear now.
    Well you could ask her-.;-}
    You could sell her the camera and get a better one.
    You could also do a Google search for your camera website and see if they can help out or have manual to download, you will not want the software, Windows knows what to do if you want to up load images.
    Actually you do not really need an manual or software for these things - just a note pad and pen and an hour or so to fumble through the menus.

I am trying to set the self timer, can anyone help me with that?

Self timer is not available in AUTO mode.
Please check the other options ( As I do not remember the other right now)
Select the other options available (eg: Tv,Av etc) and hit function key and scroll down.
In the self timer it self you can also mention how many shots you want to take.
Also you can see teh manual. In the last pages it is being under teh section Self timer.
