Where is the oil drain plug on the Troy Bilt with 5.5 honda engine
You may want to look under the deck. They sometimes put them there. And if it is a self propelled, you will probably need to remove or loosen the plastic cover that protects the self propelled belt.
You are looking for a nickel sized plug that has a square peg. Use an extension piece for a socket set if you don't have the proper plug removal tool.

I found the owners manual for this piece of junk lawnmower and there is no drain plug. You have to turn it on its side and drain it thru the dipstick tube. I bought this mower from lowes and always had problems with it from day one. The design of the cover for the belt to transmission lets grass get loaded under it and throws the belt.
