I found the owners manual for this piece of junk lawnmower and there is no drain plug. You have to turn it on its side and drain it thru the dipstick tube. I bought this mower from lowes and always had problems with it from day one. The design of the cover for the belt to transmission lets grass get loaded under it and throws the belt.

You may want to look under the deck. They sometimes put them there. And if it is a self propelled, you will probably need to remove or loosen the plastic cover that protects the self propelled belt.

You are looking for a nickel sized plug that has a square peg. Use an extension piece for a socket set if you don't have the proper plug removal tool.

Sorry about that. I assumed it was a newer mower.

How do I drain the oil from my Troy bilt 2100 squall snow blower so I can change the oil?

You need to remove the lower panel to access the engine. In the engine blow-out, the oil drain plug is numbered 77 (bottom of the crank case).

Where is oil drain for honda engine on troy mower?

I don't believe Troy-Bilt is any different than other chainsaws. There is no drain plug. You just turn it over and pour it out through the filler cap.

I did look at a diagram for Troy-Bilt and there was no drain.

Hope this helps

What Oil do I put in a Troy Bilt xp series mower

They recommend using only SAE 30 oil or 5W-30 if you choose to use synthetic. Be careful. Most smaller mower engines only require about 20-21 oz. The Honda engine may use more. See gauge on side of oil bottle.

How to change the oil in my troy built pont where is the drain plug

Not sure what a pont is, or what motor you have, but on some of the Troy built small engines from Honda the geniuses designed the motor with no drain plug. You have to tilt or flip the engine over to drain oil out the filler

I have a Troy Bilt mower w/ a Honda engine GCV160. OK, so I turned it on it's side after the last mow and the next time I tried to start it, it smoked and quit. Now the engine will not even turn over when...

Pull the spark plug and see if there is oil in the cylinder. When you turn a 4 cycle engine over or on it's side, the oil can leak into the cylinder. There may be so much oil in there that the piston won't move. When you have the plug out, clean it before you re-install. Good luck...Lee

Oil drain plug

Drain plug is not necessary. Remove the dipstick and tip the mower to the side the dipstick is on and use the dipstick tube as a drain.
