Question about Insignia Televison & Video
I have a dead Hyundai/(Insignia makes it I Think) Model# 2115 Tv.
Checked the 5v regulator which is dead on all pins. Traced back to the optoisolator looking for the 5v but the whole board is dead back to the optoisolator. Checked the fiter Cap which reads 166V which i think is normal. What should the voltage be on the optoisolator pins?
What and where should i check next?
Dead pins of 5v regulator also means dead 9v regulator..these regulators get their inputs from the 12v terminal of the the flyback transformer..check pins 3,9 and 10 of FBT..filter cap reads 166v so pin 3 must be ok..if pins 9 and 10 fails then check HOT(horizontal output transistor)..trace back from its base to the horizontal drive transfomer and down the IC..
