Question about Black & Decker 19" Electric Lawnhog Mulching Mower with Rear Bag
Starts really slow -- grinding kind of sound. Will finally reach max power if I "bump" it a couple of times. That is, push the handle down raising the front wheels off the ground about 3-4 inches then lowering quickly (thud!). But even once it's reached max power, once I let go of the control handle thing, it winds down instead of instantly stopping like it should.

SOURCE: Motor has low torque
common complains for electric & cordless mower is that they are not ment for cutting on wet or dump grasses or long tall grasses they will bog down. for this type of unit blade should be extremely sharp. also clean the under the deck so you can better air flow for the blade. if your switch & rectifier are new & in right connection then have you armature check for short circuit..
