Blinking Envelope on stanby screen

I have deleted all messages and all files are on my external memory and have turned the mobile off and on. Also tried sending myself a text but still blinking envelope???

Any suggestions??

Firstly save any data you want to keep.For a full factory reset type 2945 hash star hash ,sorry my hash sign isn't working on the keyboard.

If sim locked to unlock 2945hash star 71001 hash 3

This solved my annoying blinking envelope.

Had the same problem.go to messages then scroll down to templates, it will say text or multimedia delete everything in multimedia fixed mine hope it works for you cause its really annoying.

Have you deleted messages from your inbox, outbox, drafts, what about your emails, this symbol of a blinking envelope means somewhere is full your right but could be emails, its definately not files, ask your phone then to save messages to memory stick in phone options, or messaging options.

Flashing envelope could be caused by

1. You may just have an unread SMS from your last phone that is still saved on your SIM card. To check, goto Messaging>Options>SIM messages.

2. SIM card's message memory is full. Delete messages from the SIM card. Goto Messaging>Options>SIM messages

3. Phones messaging memory is full. Try deleting messages, also checking in, Sent and drafts.

3. Even though all your messages may be marked as read, just going down through the list and opening them all again one by one have also been known to resolve this issue. This could take some time but is worth a try if you do not want to delete any messages.

Hi,

This flashing envelope icon is telling you that your text message storage is full.

1. Go to Messages
2. Select Options
3. Then select SIM messages
4. Select and delete all SIM messages.

This should do it.

Flashing envelope on screen
Try to delete a couple of messages from your inbox, the reason for that blinking envelope is your inbox's memory is full...therefore you have to delete some of the messages.

Now I have another problem that there is message in my mobile says that the memory is full.delete some date...and my external memory is 1G and just I used 184 M.B....please help
For your information, It is the PHONE Memory asking you to delete some files for it is full. Not the External Memory Card. Delete some files inside the phone memory to free up some space. But if you freed up some space and still the memory is full then restart your cell phone to update the system. See how it works..

My home screen shows a flashing envelope icon even though my sim contacts memory is nowhere near full
This icon indicates that the SIM card's own text message storage is full. This doesn't actually cause problems on the 5800 because it stores its messages in the phone's own memory, but the envelope can look a bit annoying.
To get rid of the flashing envelope:

1. On the standby screen press the white menu button.

2. Select "Messaging"

3. Select "Options"

4. Select "SIM Messages"

5. Delete some or all of the messages from the SIM messages folder using the Options menu.
