Please refer to the "User's Guide that came with the printer. The wireless setup instructions start on page 45.

The most used connection interface is the USB connection protocol. Therefore the instalation program is set up that way. Once you have the printer setup and comminiating with the PC you can then set the printer for wireless operation.

I recently purchased a Lenovo All in One wireless computer. I've plugged in the USB cable as per instructions but my X4650 printer will still not print.

Have you installed the printer drivers? Is the printer power turned on before plugging the USB cable into the computer? You could have a bad cable. Try a different cable.

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

I have just purchased a Belkin N600 modem router. I have attached my Canon i850 printer to the USB port on the router but I cannot print. The green USB LED is not illuminated. Can you help, please? ...

I think you need to connect your printer to the router using an ethernet cable and not a USB cable. Ethernet cables are plug-and-play cables and doesn't require you to install a software. If you really need to connect your printer using a USB cable, you need to connect it to your PC so that the PC will run the installation wizard to install the USB cable. Of course the router cannot run installation wizard to the printer or the printer cannot run installation wizard to the router.

My computer won't boot up while my Lexmark X5650 is connected and turned on. Dell computer running XP pro. When I turn the printer off, it will boot.

Try moving the USB cable to another usb port. Ports can go bad; or if the printer interface is bad; it will cause this type of problem. If you want, you can try another cable too. In the end, you may end up having to replace the printer. But, certainly try another port first.

You will need a USB cable to connect the printer to your computer. The USB has Type A on one end and Type B on the other. You can purchase this from any electronic shops around your area or you can also call Lexmark Technical Support to request for one. Lexmark printers that are capable of wireless connection have a Wifi light (usually found on the upper right corner on its front face). But before you're able to connect wireless successfully, you will still need to connect the printer to your computer temporarily with the usb cable for configuration. Hope this helps.

I've lost my setup disk .I need to set it for wireless but I

I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support to request for the usb cable. They can send you one for free. If you lost your installation cd and the driver is not installed in your computer yet, there are Lexmark X5650 drivers available for download in the Lexmark website. Just click on this link: http://bit.ly/aUYzE7. Click on the Microsoft or Macintosh dropdown found below the page to choose the version of your computer's operating system. Download software. You can continue installing the software once you have the usb cable. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

What kind of usb cable do i need for my x5650 printer. i just bought it and it didnt come with the usb cable. so what kind do i need and where can i purchase it from

The connector type on one end is the standard USB Type A while the other end is the USB Type B. It's probably available at electronic shops around your area. But, if you like, you can contact Lexmark Technical Support and request for that. They can send you one for free. You just need to provide them some info about your printer like the serial number and your personal info for documentation purposes. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.
