Yes it will be.

Your TV is probably older and has Component, Composite and DVI connectors. HDMI is a newer connector that integrates sound. If your RPTV does not have HDMI but DOES have DVI, you can get an HDMI to DVI adapter on eBay or a computer store pretty cheap. You will need another way to get the sound from the Blu-Ray player, either external speakers connected to the player, or stereo RCA cables from the player to the TV (there will be a set of RCA audio plugs with the TV's DVI port).

Why would you want to hook a dual cassette deck into a TV? Just for audio?

If you tried hooking each unit up one at a time without the box and they work either a setting on that box is wrong or there is a problem with the box.

So I had this same problem. I found that when I hooked to a 1080p TV my PS3 was working, however when I hooked to my 1080i it said Not Supported Mode. So I then hooked to the 1080p and told my PS3 to limit it's self to 1080i mode and hooked it to my Samsung TV and it worked just fine. Give that a try and it should solve the problem. VCR still hooks directly to TV with what ever hook up you have available.

is there anything else hooked up to your tv other than cable or satellite? if no other components (dvd, vhs, etc) then you will get a snowy screen because the other inputs are for other components that are hooked up. a picture is showing on the HD input because you have cables hooked into that input.

Just purchased system, didn't come with any speakers, but when hooked up to tv get picture and no sound unless I put headphones in.
