Hello!

F1 error - water on bottom of dishwasher. Usually cause by broken drain hose.

Tub Home Sensor
A tub home sensor is used to determine when the tub is closed and it is safe to start a cycle. The tub home sensor consists of an inferred LED (sender) and an inferred transistor (receiver) mounted on the circuit board in the controller. Inferred light is transmitted from the LED through an optical light pipe to the right hand side of the tub. The inferred receiving transistor also has an optical light pipe leading from it out to the side of the tub. When the tub is closed the two light pipes are optically connected via a prism mounted in the trim on the side of the chassis.

To enter this setup mode, press Power, then hold the Eco touch switch and KeyLock button simultaneously for 5 seconds ensuring that Eco is pushed first. Once the setup mode is entered a beep is emitted and the LCD displays the letters rA. By pushing the Start/Pause button you can scroll through and change the following options:-

Rinse Aid Setup (rA)
Water Supply Hardness Setup (hd)
Auto Power Option (AP)
End of Cycle Beeps (EC)
Closed Drawer Option (Ld).
Clean/Dirty Dish Symbol (dS)
Dry Enhancement Option (LH)

Closed Drawer Option (Ld)
The Closed Drawer Option can be turned on or off using the Keylock button. If the Scrubbing Brush is showing on the LCD then the Closed Drawer Option is selected and it will keep the DishDrawer locked at all times by bringing the lid down. When this mode is selected the customer needs to push the power button to lift the lid whenever they want to open the drawer. When they close the drawer again the lid comes down automatically after 30 seconds and locks the tub. If the Scrubbing Brush is not showing then the Closed Drawer Option is deactivated.

Cheers!
Ryan

Dishwasher showing wrench symbol after using dishwashing liquid

I am assuming this F1 error is coming in only one drawer and that you are able to run the second drawer as normal.

In the case of your dishwasher the F1 error occured because the foam would have overflowed over the drawer top into the base of the unit. This would have triggered a flood switch which is there to protect water damage to the dishwasher. You can either wait a few more days until the base of the dishwasher drawer unit dries up or you can dry it yourself.

To dry the base, extend the drawer as far out as possible (turn mains power off first). The use a few towels and push them on to the base. Pull the towels out and dry the base especially the centre of it with a hair dryer.

The F1 should disappear once you put power back on .

Hope this helps. You have a very helful child who sets the dishwasher up. I have to keep pushing my children to even empty it.

Dishwasher keeps flashing F1

F1 on your dishwasher is the fault code for leaking inside the machine. the water has caused the flood switch to activate. have you put any detergent rather than your normal dishwasher detergent into the machine? if you have, the water probably leaked out of your overflow, if not, then you have a leak on the top drawer or bottom drawer. the easiest way to check is to leave the machine off for a couple of days until it drys then turn on the bottom drawer to go thru a cycle.if the F1 comes up again then the problem is on your bottom drawer. if F1 does not come up then try the top drawer. please reply if you require further help.

F1 in F&P 2 drawer dishwasher

You will need to be a bit more specific when you say "no flood".

Are you having this F1 fault in one or both drawers?

What did the engineer do when he was there last time?

Does the F1 code flash with beeps?

What happens when you turn the mains power off and on after a short delay?

Please provide the actual model number of your fisher and paykel 2 drawer dishwasher.

Our F & P dishdrawer keeps coming up with f1 and a picture of a spanner have tried turning the machine of at the switch for 24hr but is still doing it

Water has collected at the base of the dishwasher under the drawer.
This triggers a flood switch and causes the F1 error.

Turn the mains power off and extend the drawer out as much as possible. Take towels to dry the base from inside. Also use hair dryer ot dry out the flood switch mounted at the base.

Turn the power on and see if there is any difference. The cause of water collection could be many. Foam in detergent or kink in drain hose or drawer door gasket leaking etc.

Hi

F1 error means that you have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad. To check these please follow these simple instructions:
  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad...

My fisher paykel nautlis dishwaher display error code F1

What is the Model #? If both drawers, if a double, display F1 and won't shut-up then the flood switch is tripped and you have to unplug it to keep it from beeping and the drain motor running. The causes for the F1 fault can be numerous but not excluding bad lid lifts, broken link support, cracked drain line and wrong soap. Call F/P

We have the Q 2 drawer dishwasher stopped working.

the f1 is the flood sensor....a leak has accured....either a dish to larger or lid motor has failed. will need to remove bottom drawer and soak up water and then let air dry for a day or two....turn off the breaker this will keep it from beeping and running the pumps....after drying unit will run, but need to watch the dishes you put in drawers.
