Task manager i am using windows Xp service pack 2. my task manager is not working.

You need to use system restore and restore your computer back also run a full system scan, there could be a virus affecting it.

Download unhook.exe . right click on it and then click on install.
Then reboot.

Taskmanager disabled by your administrator


Click on start then run
Type gpedit.msc then ok
Click + on administrative templates
Click + on system
Click on CTRL ALT DEL options
over to the right double click on remove task manager
Click on disabled then apply then ok
You will now have back taskmanager
This is normaly caused by malware you should if you havent already run an anti malware scan.
Malware Bytes is an excelent example of a scanner and is located here: www.malwarebytes.org get the free trial version its great.

Well you have to get in and use system restore to that point when you had'nt installed the freeware tool and on the prompt that a restart is required for the changes to take effect, chose next time windows is shutdown, which means you dont have to reboot the client machine, but it will be executed the next that machine is switched off by the user.......sodeep

Steps
1)Optimize the browser by clicking on Tools>Options and delete temporary files in Internet Explorer

2)Check any antivirus installed and uninstall it.

3)Check the service pack and if found service pack 3 uninstall it from add/remove programmes under control panel
