Power low I was just wondering who to get in contact with to send my gigabeat back for repairs in queensland australia? the problem is that the power only lasts a little while before it is exausted. I beleive it might be a batterey problem, at the most it will play music for only about 2 hours, video might last 15 20 min when its going downhill with a good tailwind.

gosh! where did you drop the gigabeat?? It must have been a hard fall, or in an awkward position, because I have dropped mine on cement so many times, but it has a tiny scratch on the back and nothing else.

I once had to send my gigabeat in to the company for repairs. They did a pretty good job, fixed it, and sent it back. I would recommend sending it in, because your problem seems out of your control.

You've either got the wrong battery or did something wrong when you installed it. You must make sure that the main power switch at the bottom is turned off.

Hi Lorna, Yeah I found my Gigabeat froze a few different times when I was getting used to it. Solution: at the bottom of player there is a little battery on/off switch - its tiny and black but you would have needed to switch it on to first use it. Well turn it off here for 10 seconds and the on again. This removes all power from the hard drive and circuits which occassionally freeze. Hope that helps

sound like the hard drive connection came apart.(wire came off of the board or the drive) you will have to open it up to fix it.
